Fernando Rojas

Attorney-at-Law (Mexico)

Fernando Rojas Barrera is the founder of Baja Counsel, an independent legal advisory practice focused on real estate transactions, legal due diligence, foreign investment, and cross-border matters in Mexico.

With more than 23 years of professional experience, he has advised investors, property owners, developers, businesses, landlords, tenants, brokers, and real estate professionals on transactions involving real estate acquisitions, contract negotiation, ownership structures, legal risk analysis, and strategic business decisions.

His multidisciplinary background combines legal practice, corporate advisory, insurance and surety matters, transactional support, investigations, contract drafting, and risk management. This broader perspective allows him to evaluate transactions not only from a legal standpoint, but also from a practical and strategic business perspective.

Fernando founded Baja Counsel with a clear objective: to provide independent legal guidance for clients involved in real estate transactions throughout Mexico, with a particular focus on Baja California Sur. Rather than representing one side of a transaction, his role is to help clients understand legal risks, evaluate available information, review documentation, and make informed decisions before purchasing, selling, investing, signing agreements, or moving forward with significant transactions.

His practice is built around one fundamental principle:

Clear legal advice before important decisions are made.
